The mountain Villa ARTE is set in a quiet part of
BOROVETS resort in old pine woods in Rila mountain, hidden from the daily
noise and commotion, at an altitude of 1250 m, only 70 km southeast of Sofia.
The villa was built in 1941 by the famous Bulgarian
architect Bitchev, who successfully created - like Antonio Gaudi did in Spain -
an esthetical unity from the doorhandle to the fireplace. At that time the
impressive wall painting was created by the famous Bulgarian artist Prof.
Obreshkov.
In 1944 the first meeting of the Bulgarian high ranking anti
Nazi politicians took place in the house, which initiated the negotiations with
the allied forces.
The house has four floors: basement, ground floor, first and second floor.
